Who makes up the Membership?
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. consists of over 125,000+ College-educated, dynamic, community service driven, diverse and professional women. Membership ranges from:
Undergraduate: Initiated members who are currently pursuing a baccalaureate degree
Graduate: Initiated members who have obtained at least one undergraduate degree
Honorary: Initiated members identified by the International body of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for providing exemplary service to the community through their service or profession

“I have heard that there is a financial obligation for membership. Is this true, and to what extent?”
Yes, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. funds its operational and programmatic efforts with the dues and donations of the membership and benefactors. Since membership is lifelong, so is the financial commitment.

What are you policies on hazing?
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., has a membership intake policy, which forbids all forms of hazing. Each prospective member is advised in writing that membership in Zeta does not require subjecting oneself to hazing. Prospective members are directed to refuse to participate in any hazing activity, and are directed to report all hazing and hazing attempts to the proper authorities. Members receive instructions in the intake process. The International President has the authority to discipline any member who does not follow the written intake procedure or violates the sorority’s policy against hazing. What is membership intake?
National Panhellenic Council organizations bring in new members through a process called Membership Intake. Each organization, including Zeta, sets an individual timetable as to when it will conduct Membership Intake according to their national and local policies. By attending one of our Informationals, you would be provided with general information regarding the intake process. Only if you are invited and accept our invitation to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority will you be provided with more information.
