Rho Eta Zeta News
According to Soror Hope Dudley, November 3, 2017, will always be remembered as one of the top unforgettable moments in her life. On that day, a lifelong desire was achieved when she was inducted into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. Soror Dudley holds membership to this Finer organization dear to her heart and feels blessed to be able to say that it was experienced through the Rho Eta Zeta Chapter. Soror Dudley finds time to answer when Zeta calls while remaining active in church, maintaining a family, staying physically fit, completing alteration and embroidery orders for her business, Hope Sew, and working as a Senior Accounting Systems Analyst.
She is determined to let her Zeta light shine by always finding time to serve her community in any capacity she can. From volunteering as a tax preparer for low income individuals to delivering food and clothes to Arundel House of Hope, Sarah’s House, and Chrysalis House. Soror Dudley was nominated to serve as the Tamias Grammateus for her Chapter, and she accepted, was elected, and sworn in to her Executive Board position on Saturday, June 8, 2019. She also serves as an active member of the Budget Committee, Audit Committee, and is a Certified Youth Advisor. She currently leads the SuperHero Sisterz and Strollin’ SisterZ Set Circles and is a member of the Sew Sweet & Crafty Sisters Circle. In her short time in the organization, Soror Dudley has also served on the Nominations Committee, Ways and Means Committee, Community Service Committee, served as a Chapter Delegate during the 2019 Maryland State Leadership Conference, and conducted a Yoga Class during this past Chapter Retreat. She also attended the 58th Atlantic Regional Leadership Conference where she assisted in opening and operating, “My Sister’s Keeper Closet”. She looks forward to her journey to Centennial and attending Boule in June 2020.
Her husband, Cardell Dudley, Jr., provides endless support in all areas of her life and expresses unconditional love daily. Leading by example is essential for Soror Dudley, especially when it comes to her two beautiful daughters. Her 4-year-old daughter, Harmony, will be inducted as a Pearlette on Saturday, November 2, 2019 and her 2-year-old daughter, Legacy, is currently a “Pearlette in training”. Soror Dudley LOVES planning fun adventures for her daughters and experiencing different places, activities, and cultures with them.
